🌍 V.I.E – Business Developer Africa (M/F)
Location: Madagascar
METAROM Group is a French company, where we create tailor-made flavoring solutions and caramels for the food industry.
We are composed of 9 subsidiaries with a team of local experts with in-depth knowledge of regional markets.
Our customers are mainly in the following industries:
- Beverages
- Cereal products
- Ice Cream, dairy products, plant-based products
- Confectionery
- Health food

As part of our international expansion across the African continent, we are recruiting a V.I.E Business Developer Afrique (M/F) to manage our existing client portfolio and drive market growth directly from Antananarivo.
💼 Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Africa Team Leader, you will act as a true commercial ambassador for our company. Your role is to translate our strategic commercial ambitions into concrete results through account management and business development in high-potential markets (primarily Madagascar and Mauritius, with expansion into Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa).
• Strategic Steering: You will co-define and deploy a pragmatic commercial action plan, tailored to the local specificities of each market.
• Development & Growth: You will identify strategic segments and lead direct prospecting initiatives to increase our market share.
• Network Management: You will identify, recruit, and coordinate local agents. You will provide close operational management to ensure shared objectives are met.
• Market Intelligence: You will maintain an active competitive watch and contribute to optimizing our marketing tools and product offerings based on field feedback.
Profil recherché
👤 Candidate Profile
With a Master’s degree (Business School or Engineering), you are fully proficient in French and English in a professional context. Above all, we are looking for a strong commercial mindset capable of spearheading a large-scale project autonomously.
• Results-Oriented: You possess a "business developer" spirit. You are driven by challenges, new account acquisition, and negotiation.
• Leadership & Autonomy: Capable of operating without a local office structure (reporting directly to your manager who works remotely from France but is based within our local distributor's premises in Madagascar), you demonstrate exceptional organizational discipline and a proactive approach.
• Intercultural Intelligence: Your interpersonal skills allow you to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Mobility: Previous experience abroad is essential. The position requires frequent travel across Madagascar and Mauritius, with potential missions to Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa.
