Software Developer - Capital Markets & Banking (Java / .NET / Angular) (H/F)

The opportunity : You’ll be embedded as a consultant within a major French banking group in Portugal, working on applications that support Capital Markets, Risk management, or portfolio management. Think: building and evolving the tools that traders and risk managers rely on every day. What you’ll do • Develop and maintain full stack applications across the software lifecycle • Work on front-end (Angular or similar) and/or back-end (Java, .NET/C#) depending on your strengths • Write clean, tested code in an Agile environment with CI/CD practices • Collaborate directly with business analysts, project managers, and end users • Participate in production support and continuous improvement of existing platforms What we’re looking for • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar • Solid foundations in at least one of: Java, .NET (C#), or Angular - we don’t need you to master all three • Comfort with SQL and relational databases • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, and Agile ways of working • English fluency (B2+). What we’re looking for • A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, IT, or a related field • Strong analytical and communication skills - you can explain complex things simply • Fluent in French (mandatory for this role) and English (B2+) • Organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple workstreams • Genuine interest in financial services - you don’t need to be an expert, but you need to be curious Nice to have • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow • Previous internship or experience in banking, insurance, or asset management • Basic understanding of IT systems and software development processes
