Application Scientist (H/F)

As an Application Scientist, you will play a crucial role at the intersection of science, product, and customer engagement, supporting the adoption of our AI-driven platform by pharmaceutical and biotech partners in the Americas. This is a highly collaborative role where you will contribute to customer-facing scientific activities while developing expertise in applied AI for drug discovery. You will initially be based in Paris (17th arrondissement) for onboarding and training, before relocating to Boston. Your Responsibilities: - Act as the primary contact between Iktos and our SaaS customers in the Americas for scientific and technical discussions, owning onboarding, training, and consulting to ensure optimal use of our technologies and customer satisfaction; - Work closely with the Product, IT, and Research teams to align roadmaps with the needs of our customers, driving the evolution and performance assessment of our products; - Support drug discovery collaborations in the Americas, from pre-sales feasibility studies and scientific assessment to success; - Assist in pre-sales activities by preparing scientific materials, demos, and supporting technical evaluations - Participate in internal research efforts and contribute to scientific communication (presentations, case studies, publications) What You’ll Gain: - Hands-on experience applying AI to real-world drug discovery projects - Exposure to pharmaceutical and biotech collaborations across diverse therapeutic areas - Development of customer-facing scientific skills in a fast-growing SaaS environment - Opportunities to progressively take ownership of projects and responsibilities as you grow in the role Location & Mobility: - Initial onboarding in Paris (17th arrondissement), with flexible remote work - Planned relocation to Boston

Requirements: - PhD in computational chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a closely related field - A solid understanding of the commercial drug discovery process - Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers - Strong interest in applied AI and data-driven approaches to molecular design - Experience using Google Workspace tools - Python programming experience is a plus - Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written (English is our corporate language) - Willingness to travel Nice to have: - Experience in one or more of the following is highly desired: molecular dynamics simulations, docking, chemoinformatics, bioinformatics, molecular artificial intelligence, protein modeling, drug design - Exposure to AI-driven drug discovery approaches - Experience working with scientific software platforms, workflows, or data pipelines
