You are a highly motivated graduate and want to get to know the work of a stress engineer?  Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in airframe stress as a Volunteer for International Experience. The Airframe Stress Department is part of the Airbus Helicopters development and research organization and is responsible for a variety of topics concerning strength, loads and crash of helicopter airframes and mechanical equipment. We work in an agile style with empowered staff developing our new Helicopters/VTOLs as well as modify and tailor our large product portfolio towards customer needs. Your location At our Lodz site, located in Poland, we help Marignane & Donauworth sites to develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Your benefits Work-life balance with a 40-hour week (flexitime) International environment with the opportunity to network globally Work with modern/diversified technologies At Airbus, we see you as a valuable team member and you are not hired to brew coffee, instead you are in close contact with the interfaces and are part of our weekly team meetings Your tasks and responsibilities:​ Structural evaluation/ stress analysis during different development phases, from concept to detailed design phase, with the target of an optimized design in terms of strength, fatigue life, weight and cost Sizing and strength substantiation according to hand calculation methodology and FEM (linear and non-linear), to optimize airframe and mechanical equipment designs Preparation of test programs and test orders as well as supervision of the tests Preparation of justification reports for static strength and fatigue Determination and justification of service life, inspection and maintenance intervals Dealing with manufacturing deviations including the definition of rework and repairs as well with customer service requests

Profil recherché

Skills and qualifications: Master/Engineer Degree in Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering or a similar course of studies Practical experience within Statics and Fatigue within Aerospace Basic knowledge of strength justification methods (analytical methodologies and FEM) for metal and composite materials are a Must-Have Basic experience in programming, e.g. Python Great sense of responsibility and enjoy working in teams and communicating in a multi-layered development world Language Skills: English on negotiation level, German, French or Polish is an advantage ​
