To support its purchasing and sourcing activities in Slovakia, the company is looking for a motivated and analytical young professional to join its procurement team in an international environment. Position Overview As an International Strategic Buyer, you will contribute to the implementation of sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance, and continuity of supply while maintaining high quality standards. Working closely with the Commodity Manager and cross-functional teams, you will participate in supplier selection, market analysis, productivity initiatives, and purchasing performance improvement projects. This position offers strong exposure to international purchasing operations, supplier negotiations, and strategic sourcing within the automotive industry. Your Main Responsibilities - Support the implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned commodities - Ensure accurate forecasting in PUMA for N to N+3 months - Track all resourcing and technical productivity actions related to the commodity portfolio - Participate in material steering committees and sourcing reviews - Monitor market prices and conduct benchmarking analyses - Identify and introduce local suppliers to improve competitiveness and supply chain resilience - Maintain and update the tooling database located at suppliers - Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal Quality teams to ensure compliance with company standards - Perform supplier market analyses, cost analyses, and risk assessments - Contribute to the definition and execution of purchasing strategies - Support annual cost reduction targets and operational efficiency initiatives - Ensure continuity of supply and participate in crisis resolution when necessary Why Join Us? Profile Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field Minimum 1 year of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or automotive industry Fluent English required Strong analytical and communication skills Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset Interest in international industrial environments and strategic sourcing Supplier Management & Negotiation Strategic Procurement & Sourcing Market Analysis & Cost Optimization Risk Management & Mitigation Planning Crisis Management & Problem Solving Financial & Budget Awareness Performance Tracking & Reporting
