R&D Engineer (H/F)

Changshu R&D Center (CRDC) is key innovation center of Arkema in Asia area, which provides great support to BUs for their business. This position is based in Changshu, China and works as an electrochemical engineer in CRDC battery team. CRDC battery team is an important part of Arkema global battery platform, and mainly focuses on battery material development, evaluation and customer technical support. This position works closely with global battery team to give support in electrochemical performance evaluation of different materials. The testing scope is not only for lithium ionic battery, but also for semi solid-state battery and all solid-state battery. The position also needs to participate regular communication of testing progress with global team. Missions: Li ionic battery cell preparation and test（60%）： • Prepare pouch cell according to SOP. Performance electrochemical test (CV, ESI, cycling etc.) according to the requirement. • Record the experiment process and report the results and team discuss of the results • Analysis of failure of the battery under the supervise of line manager Next Gen battery (gel polymer, ASSB) electrochemical testing method study, set up and apply （30%）. • Work together with new tech R&D engineer to set up the electrochemical testing method of next Gen battery • Perform the next Gen battery electrochemical test and data processing. • Internal discussion and sharing of the results Lab safety management and machine maintenance（10%） The working time is shared 70-80% time spent in battery lab, plus 20-30% in office for date recording and results analysis. Pouch cell assembling step is in a dry room condition.

Master degree or engineering school in the field of electrochemistry or Polymer Chemistry Workable English skills, should interact with Chinese, Chinese speaking is a plus Good communication and problem solving skills Strong awareness of environment, health and safety Proactive attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills Analytical thinking Experience in safe and reliable lab activities, field of polymer or battery is a plus
