VIE Procurement Culcairn (H/F)

At Bouygues Construction Australia, we specialise in the design, construction, financing, and delivery of innovative projects in the fields of civil infrastructure and building. As a member of the Bouygues Construction Group, we have been operating in Australia for over 25 years. During this time, we have successfully delivered several major projects, including the Sydney Airport Link (T2 Airport Line), NorthConnex, and WestConnex 3A. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing procurement activities during the initial phase of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Culcairn. The role will support both local and international purchasing to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for project mobilisation and early construction works. Key Responsabilities: - Plan, coordinate, and manage all procurement activities for the start-up phase of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Culcairn. - Organise local and international purchases of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services required for site mobilisation and construction. - Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs), requests for tender (RFTs), and other procurement documentation. - Obtain, review, and analyse supplier quotations and tender submissions to assess commercial and technical compliance. - Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, delivery schedules, and payment conditions with suppliers and subcontractors. - Identify cost-effective sourcing solutions and recommend the best-value procurement strategies. - Maintain a procurement database and ensure all tendering and purchasing records are accurately documented. - Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with agreed contractual and commercial conditions. - Monitor supplier performance and follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery and quality requirements are met. - Coordinate logistics and transportation for domestic and international shipments to site. - Work closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project priorities and schedules. - Participate in supplier meetings, technical clarifications, and commercial evaluations. - Propose technical and commercial alternatives to optimise cost, performance, and lead times. - Monitor market trends and identify new products, equipment, and technological developments relevant to BESS and solar infrastructure. - Assist the Project Director with procurement reporting, cost tracking, and risk management. - Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable Australian regulations

Your profile: - Master’s degree in Procurement, or a related field - +3 years of professional experience (excluding internships) - Experience in construction, infrastructure or renewable energy - Excellent relationship skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to critique, recommend and implement initiatives that seek efficiencies either from a process or systems perspective - Experienced with ERP systems such as SAP - Very good level of English ~ C1 - Available from 1st of July/ August 2026
