# Logistics Project Manager – Automotive Industry **Location:** Hungary **Contract Type:** Permanent Full-Time Position Are you passionate about supply chain management and eager to contribute to the successful launch of new automotive products? We are looking for a Logistics Project Manager to join our dynamic team and play a key role in managing logistics activities from the pre-serial phase through Start of Production (SOP). In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of components, packaging, and production materials at the right time, in the right quantity, and with the required quality standards to support smooth product launches, modifications, and end-of-life transitions. You will coordinate logistics activities across multiple functions, balancing customer requirements, transportation costs, and inventory targets to achieve operational excellence. As the logistics lead for new projects, you will define and implement logistics concepts for new customers and finished products, manage SOP and EOL processes, and ensure the accuracy of logistics master data in accordance with company standards. Working closely with suppliers, purchasing, production planning, and customer logistics teams, you will analyze material requirements, manage forecasts and orders, monitor stock in transit, and ensure timely deliveries. Your ability to anticipate risks and react quickly will be essential in preventing supply disruptions and minimizing premium freight costs. The role also involves maintaining strong supplier performance by addressing logistics-related non-conformities and supporting corrective actions when necessary. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing principles such as Just-in-Time, Self-Quality, and Kaizen, while promoting best practices throughout the supply chain. Maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient logistics processes will be key aspects of your daily responsibilities. Collaboration and communication are at the heart of this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production Planning, Customer Logistics, Purchasing, Project Management, and Manufacturing to ensure alignment and successful project execution. At the same time, you will actively support a culture of safety, responsiveness, teamwork, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field and brings at least three years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or materials planning within the automotive industry. A strong understanding of supply chain management principles, production systems, JIT and Kanban methodologies, MPS/SIOP processes, and continuous improvement tools is required. Experience with SAP and advanced MS Office skills are essential, while professional proficiency in English is necessary to operate successfully in an international environment. Profil recherché
