Junior Quant Engineer (Python) (H/F)

About the Role: We are looking for a driven Junior Quant Engineer to join our fast-paced trading desk. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the foundational tooling, alerting, and analysis pipelines that power our trading operations across our off-chain and on-chain markets. What You’ll Do Develop and maintain robust Python-based tooling, alerting mechanisms, and dashboards for live risk management and real-time PnL analysis. Collaborate closely with senior engineers, quants, and traders to build high-quality, reliable software tailored to dynamic trading strategies. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that follows best practices for algorithmic trading environments. Help improve system performance, reliability, and development workflows. Learn about cloud-based architectures, microservices, and distributed systems in a production environment. Participate in code reviews and team discussions to continuously improve code quality and processes. What You’ll Need Hands-on experience with Python for backend development and data processing (personal, academic, or professional projects all count). Proficiency in data manipulation and quantitative analysis using libraries like NumPy and Pandas. Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, demonstrating a basic understanding of both CeFi exchange mechanics and DeFi protocols. Exposure to, or a strong eagerness to learn, crypto-specific libraries and infrastructure (e.g., Web3.py, CCXT, interacting with RPC nodes, and smart contract ABIs). Basic understanding of REST APIs, databases (SQL or NoSQL), and data structures. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerization tools (Docker) is a plus. Curiosity about the DeFi or crypto industry—previous exposure is a plus, but not required. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
