Presentation of the position: VSL, an International company operating worldwide, is looking for young engineers to work on a landmark bridge project. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Engineer to support construction activities on a major cable-stayed bridge project in Riyadh. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of engineering, data, and operational excellence, driving tangible impact on project performance. While embedded within project team to assist in supervising site operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations, with exposure to stay cable systems, bridge deck construction, and other structural works, he will play a key role in shaping how data and digital tools enhance decision-making on-site. Your scope of duties • Reporting to senior site engineers / construction manager, you actively assist on daily supervision of all construction activities: o Monitor stay cables installation and stressing activities o Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and method statements o Coordinate with Contractor, Consultant and other Subcontractors o Ensure compliance with project QA/QC (prepare material submission, inspection requests, checklists, site reports…) o Ensure compliance with project HSE (participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety briefings…) o Participate in technical preparation (prepare or review drawings/method statements, support in resolving technical site issues, assist with site sketches and markups when required…) o Drive the deployment and continuous improvement solutions for site monitoring o implement structured data collection frameworks across site activities (progress, quality, HSE) o Translate data into actionable insights through dashboards and performance indicators o Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to optimize construction processes o Support efforts to ensure adoption of digital tools by operational teams o Ensure a proper coordination and reporting (maintain site records, progress tracking and reports, work planning, material and equipment tracking…) This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on experience in large-scale bridge infrastructure projects.

Profil recherché

Qualifications: • Bachelor or Master of engineering, Civil or Mechanic Technical Skills: • Good command of the MS Office • Reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel…) • Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications • Good command of Autocad • 3D sketching capabilities would be a plus. • Knowledge of structural construction principles Experience: • 0 to 5 years experience in the construction projects • Bridge experience preferred Personal Competencies: • Good command of English oral and written • 2nd languages would be a plus • Communication: team player • Flexible to travel and being away from home • Open to other cultures • Independent and able to take pressure • Fit for physical work on construction sites
