AI Builder (H/F)

Day to day, our teams now work with Claude, Gemini, and a growing set of internal AI powered tools. We're hiring an AI Builder to build on that foundation, and to help everyone at Prose build on it too. This person does three things AI now makes possible in one role: sit with a team and diagnose where AI creates real leverage, design & build the tool that meets that need using Claude and our AI stack, and maintain it so it stays useful. Building is the easier part now. The hard part is translating a business need into the right tool and keeping that tool alive. Key Responsibilities - Diagnose where AI creates real leverage. Sit with a team, listen, and pressure-test what they ask for. Often the job is helping them rephrase the need, not taking the order - Design and build the tool when a tool is the answer. Prototype hands-on with Claude and our AI stack. You build by prompting, not by writing production code Maintain what you ship. Keep data current, handle access and confidentiality, and make sure tools stay reliable instead of piling up as one-off messes - Raise AI fluency across Prose through workshops, 1:1s, and office hours. Meet people where they are, from "I've never opened Claude" to "I build agents but want to do it better” - Unblock people day to day. When a colleague is stuck on a prompt, an integration, an eval, or a workflow, you solve it with them or point them to who can - Partner with leaders across Brand, Growth, Operations, CX, People, and R&D to surface the highest-leverage AI opportunities for each team. - Make the build, escalate, or coach call. Decide what to build yourself, what to hand to Tech, and what to coach a colleague through building. Teaching someone to build often beats building it for them. - Synthesize what you learn into a focused priority list, and help shape Prose's AI roadmap with the CTO.

- 3 years across a path like management consulting then product management, or a technical PM track at a fast-moving company. Consulting-style exposure to many business problems at once is a strong signal: this role will work with every team in the business and often with multiple in a single day. - Production experience building with LLMs: Claude (our primary stack), Gemini, or comparable. You've built and shipped at least one AI-powered tool that real people actually used, with hands-on prompt engineering. You understand basic eval design from doing the work. - Technically fluent. You can take a tool from zero to a working first version yourself by building with AI, and you have enough engineering judgment to make what you ship maintainable. You do not need to be a career software engineer and the role does not require production coding. - Self-confidence and judgment to be a true partner. You can sit with a senior leader, ask the right questions, and push back when the request does not hold up. - Strong ability to synthesize. You take many inputs from many teams and shape them into clear priorities, with views on what to do now, what to defer, and why. - Daily user of AI tools in your own work today, for analysis, research, building, or thinking. We want someone who already treats AI as a work tool, not someone willing to learn it someday. Strong Pluses - Engineering or technical academic background paired with a consulting track. - Background as an Applied or Solutions Engineer, technical PM, or technical founding hire at an AI-forward company. - Experience designing or running LLM evals at any meaningful depth. - Comfort across time zones. You will have NY-based teammates and a Paris-based CTO and Tech team, so an occasional early call to overlap with Paris (typical window 9am to 12pm ET) comes with the role, along with occasional travel to Paris and LA.
