Commodity Buyer (H/F)

Our Interiors Business Group is looking for a VIE Chemicals Commodity Buyer to be based at its plant at Mlada, Czech Republic.   As a Chemicals Commodity Buyer, you will contribute to the development and execution of the purchasing strategy for chemical commodities supporting Forvia Interiors operations worldwide. You will work closely with suppliers, plants, engineering, quality, program, and finance teams to ensure the best combination of cost, quality, innovation, and supply security. Your main responsibilities Manage sourcing activities and supplier selection for chemical commodities. Lead RFQs, negotiations, and commercial discussions to achieve competitiveness targets. Support the deployment of global and regional commodity strategies. Drive cost optimization initiatives and contribute to purchasing performance objectives. Ensure supplier compliance with Forvia standards related to quality, sustainability, and operational excellence. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when required. Support new program launches by securing sourcing, timing, and capacity commitments. Develop strong partnerships with strategic suppliers and identify innovation opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.

What you need to join us? English language is mandatory as you will be speaking with people from all over the world. Master’s degree/Engineering diploma in purchasing Minimum 2-3 years purchasing experience. (Automotive preferred / capital preferred) Who are we looking for?
