Description de la mission
Position Overview
We are looking for a junior Field Application Engineer with an educational background in optics, photonics or electrical engineering, ideally combined with initial hands-on experience in high-speed optical fiber communication.
The main objective of this role is to support the adoption of Scintil’s integrated DWDM laser source by key customers. The Field Application Engineer will assist customers during product evaluation, system integration, and troubleshooting, while also acting as a technical interface between customers and Scintil’s internal engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on technical support to guide customers through product evaluation, system integration, and troubleshooting.
• Support the deployment of evaluation kits in the field to ensure optimal operation and performance of integrated DWDM laser sources.
• Assist customers with system-level validation.
• Collect customer feedback and technical issues, and communicate them clearly to internal engineering and product teams.
• Build strong relationships with lead customers development teams by acting as a responsive and reliable technical contact.
• Provide on-site support, training, and technical assistance at customer or partner locations located in the Bay Area
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, including application notes, user guides, and evaluation board documentation.
Profil recherché
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, optics, photonics
• First hands-on experience with high-speed optical communication systems, photonic integrated circuits, DWDM systems, or transceiver integration
• Familiarity with optical and electronic test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, oscilloscopes, and bit-error-rate testers.
Skills
• Proactive mindset, hands-on attitude, and willingness to learn quickly in a fast-moving deep-tech environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python for test automation or firmware validation.
