For our Supply & Energy Management (S&EM) Global Business Unit in Brussels, we are currently looking for a VIE VIE Renewables Trader Assistant (F/M/X)! Context The Power Trading & Commercial Platform is looking for a Renewables Trader to strengthen its trading activities. S&EM is at the heart of ENGIE’s power activities. It’s providing hedging solutions for renewable assets, thermal assets and downstream customers. Our objective is “to accelerate the energy transition through market solutions”. The Renewables Trading desk is managing a wind and solar portfolio of around 10 GW in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands both for own assets as for 3th party developers. The desk continuously strives for excellence on renewables energy management through systems, models and risk management expertise and aims to grow the portfolio which is in line with the group’s ambition. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Renewables Trader Assistant As a Renewables Trader Assistant in the Renewables Trading team we expect you to:  Drive profitability of the desk by developing trading and hedging strategies.  Collaborate across teams (short-term and long-term trading, origination, quantitative analysis) to maximize portfolio value.  Use data-driven insights and pricing models to enhance decision-making.  Innovate flexibility solutions to manage intermittency cost-effectively. 

YOUR PROFILE as Renewables Trader Assistant Analytical problem-solver with coding skills (Python mandatory).  Independent thinkers who challenge ideas constructively.  Pro-active and well organized  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  Agile, solution-oriented approach with high standards for quality and performance.  Knowledge on financial products and/or energy markets is a plus  Passion for the energy transition.
