Data Engineer (H/F)

Could you be the Data Engineer in China we’re looking for? Your future role We’ll look to you for: Defining, developing, managing, and sustaining data solutions, including storage, processing units, and user interfaces Designing technical solutions for production-grade and cyber-secure data systems Building multi-tenant data collectors and storage systems Developing multi-tenant streaming and data processing for batch and near-real-time flows Assessing and enhancing the data quality of incoming data flows Applying data management and security practices Building customizable analytical dashboards Applying strong testing and quality assurance practices Collaborating with engineering and mobility experts, data scientists, software engineers, HMI designers, and DevOps teams Experience in full-stack development will be appreciated as both front-end and back-end application will be addressed

Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: • Engineering or master’s degree in computer science and information systems • Experience in IT, digital companies, software, or start-ups (at least 2 years of work experience as per China immigration requirements) • Strong expertise in data processing and software development, particularly in Python, R, or Java/Scala environments • Experience developing solutions with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and/or Nifi for production • Deep knowledge of SQL database configuration (e.g., Postgres, MariaDB, MySQL) • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker and Ansible • Experience with Git and release management • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP (desirable) • Understanding of network and security concepts (e.g., SSL, certificates, IPSEC, Active Directory, LDAP) • Knowledge of Machine Learning tools such as Scikit-learn, R, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks (desirable) • Good understanding of the Apache open-source ecosystem • Proven track record of designing stable solutions, testing, and debugging • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience working with global teams • Fluent in English and French Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
