Full Stack Software Engineer I (H/F)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer I to join our technical team in Boston and grow fast. The ideal candidate will play an important role in developing and maintaining our web applications and backend services and will work closely with our AI/ML team to implement robust and scalable solutions, including AI agents, project memory, integrations across platforms, and automations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting and to work on cutting-edge technology solutions. Key Responsibilities: Frontend Development: - Build and maintain responsive web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript - Implement intuitive user interfaces and seamless user experiences - Collaborate with the team on UI/UX improvements and new feature development - Ensure optimal frontend performance and accessibility - Integrate AI chats and agents into the frontend and develop features around the AI Backend Development: - Develop and maintain backend services using Python - Design and implement RESTful APIs and serverless functions - Work with various AWS services including Lambda, S3, EC2, batch, and API Gateway - Implement and optimize database solutions - Assist in building AI agents DevOps & Infrastructure: - Deploy and maintain applications on Vercel - Integrate AWS cloud infrastructure with Vercel frontend - Manage AWS cloud infrastructure - Ensure proper security of webapp - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines Teamwork, Collaboration, and Startup Environment: - Collaborate with other employees, engineers, and team-members to work as a team to deliver the best product possible - Must work efficiently and efficaciously as part of a small team in a startup environment demanding high effort, hard work, accountability, honesty, empathy and a growth mindset - Work closely with AI/ML team to integrate and deploy AI models and agents - Participate in code reviews and technical discussions - Document technical specifications and architecture decisions - Contribute to agile development processes and sprint planning - Possibly interact with customers and prototype rapid features

Qualifications: Required: - A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field. - 2+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a startup environment. - Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python. - Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks - Familiarity with REST APIs and backend development - Understanding of cloud services (AWS) and serverless architecture - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development - Fluency or near-fluency in English (may interact with customers for rapid prototyping) Preferred: - A master’s degree or higher is preferred. - Knowledge of database design and implementation - Understanding of authentication and security best practices - Previous experiences with vector databases and graph databases - Familiarity with AI/ML and an interest to learn more - Interest in construction and the built world - Strong problem-solving skills - Proficiency in both English and French (customers speak both languages)
