Role overview • To provide legal services to the business by advising on commercial, property and retail related business issues, drafting and negotiating legal documents. • To assist the Commercial, Property and Retail lawyer relating to ongoing workflow, research and providing general advice to the business. • Agreeing template procurement contracts with our sister airports, Edinburgh and Belfast, assisting Belfast airport in relation to ad hoc legal requests. Principal accountabilities • Accountable for delivering timely and accurate legal services principally to the commercial, property and retail functions at the airport including drafting and negotiating legal documents, and providing legal advice. • Turning around work in tight timescales to allow speedy occupation by tenants and concessionaires to generate income for the business. • Providing legal support to various other functions within the business including procurement, IT and customer complaints. • Dealing with ad hoc projects as required. Framework and boundaries The role sits within the Legal Team, which comprises lawyers dealing with the range of legal issues which face Gatwick Airport Limited, including data protection and compliance issues. The role does not have any direct reports or carry a delegated financial authority.
